Synopsis – What to Expect from “La luna”
La Luna is a short, animated film from Pixar and director Enrico Casarosa. It tells the story of a young boy, named Bambino, who is taken on an extraordinary journey by his father and grandfather – two generations of a family of moon-faring fishermen.
The film opens with Bambino being taken to his family’s boat, the La Luna, by his father and grandfather. When they arrive, Bambino is given a special task: to help his family collect star-shaped stones from the night sky. As they sail across the sea, Bambino and his family encounter mysterious creatures and a host of otherworldly sights.
As the film progresses, Bambino begins to understand the importance of his family’s mission. He learns that the stones are part of a larger ritual, and that the moon is a powerful source of energy. He also discovers that his family is part of a secret society of moon-faring fishermen, and that his grandfather is the leader of this society.
As the story reaches its climax, Bambino and his family must confront a great danger. Bambino must use his newfound knowledge to save his family and the moon. In the end, Bambino learns that the moon is something to be respected and cherished, and that his family’s tradition of moon-faring is something to be proud of.
