Synopsis – What to Expect from “Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III”
Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III is an animated special that aired on Adult Swim in 2010. The special is a parody of the Star Wars films and is written and produced by Seth Green and Matthew Senreich.
The special opens with Emperor Palpatine (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) announcing the new Galactic Empire. As the Empire takes control of the galaxy, the rebellion is formed. The rebel alliance is led by Princess Leia (voiced by Breckin Meyer), Han Solo (voiced by Seth Green), and Luke Skywalker (voiced by Abraham Benrubi).
Meanwhile, Darth Vader (voiced by Seth MacFarlane) is on a mission to find Luke Skywalker and destroy the rebellion. He travels to the planet Tatooine where he meets Obi-Wan Kenobi (voiced by Donald Faison). However, Obi-Wan is able to outwit Vader and escape.
Back on the rebel base, Luke Skywalker is training to become a Jedi. He is joined by his new droid friend R2-D2 (voiced by Seth Green). Together, they embark on a mission to rescue Princess Leia from the clutches of the Empire.
The rebels eventually confront the Empire in a massive space battle. During the battle, Darth Vader is able to capture Luke and take him to the Death Star. However, Luke is able to escape and join up with the rebel forces.
