Synopsis – What to Expect from “Flicka: Country Pride”
Flicka: Country Pride is a heartwarming family drama about a young girl named Toby and her beloved horse, Flicka. Toby is a city girl who is sent to stay with her father on his ranch in Wyoming. She is immediately taken with the wild mustang Flicka, who she quickly bonds with.
Toby’s father, Rob, is a hardworking rancher who is struggling to keep his ranch afloat. He is also struggling to connect with his daughter, and is determined to toughen her up and make her into a real cowgirl.
Toby is determined to prove her worth and save the ranch, and sets out to train Flicka to be a champion barrel racer. But she soon learns that Flicka is a wild horse, and that she must learn to understand and respect her. With the help of her father and a local horse trainer, Toby learns to trust Flicka and the two of them form a bond that helps Toby understand the importance of family and responsibility.
Together, Toby and Flicka compete in the local barrel racing competition, and Toby is able to save the ranch. In the end, Toby learns that family and responsibility are the most important things in life, and that with hard work and determination, anything can be achieved.
