Star Wars: The Force Awakens is the seventh installment of the Star Wars saga and the first of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, the film follows Rey, a scavenger from the planet Jakku, and Finn, a former stormtrooper, as they join forces with Han Solo, Chewbacca, and the Resistance to battle against the First Order, led by the mysterious Supreme Leader Snoke and Kylo Ren, the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia.
The story begins on the planet Jakku, where Rey is scavenging for parts to trade. Meanwhile, Finn, a former stormtrooper of the First Order, escapes from a battle and crash-lands onJakku. He meets Rey, and the two join forces to escape the First Order. The pair then meet up with Han Solo and Chewbacca, who are on the run from the First Order. The foursome soon join forces with the Resistance, led by General Leia Organa and Poe Dameron. Together, they set out to find Luke Skywalker, the last Jedi, in order to defeat the First Order and restore peace to the galaxy. Along the way, they face off against the First Order’s forces, led by Kylo Ren and Supreme Leader Snoke. The story culminates in an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order, with Rey ultimately using the Force to destroy the First Order’s Starkiller Base and save the galaxy.
