Synopsis/Plot
Kelly’s Heroes is a 1970 war comedy-adventure film directed by Brian G. Hutton and starring Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Don Rickles, Carroll O’Connor, and Donald Sutherland. Set in France during World War II, the film follows a group of American soldiers, led by Sergeant Kelly (Eastwood), who go off on a daring mission to rob a bank behind enemy lines.
The story begins with Kelly and his squad of misfits, including Big Joe (Savalas), Crapgame (Rickles), Oddball (Sutherland), and Little Joe (O’Connor), being sent on a mission to hunt down a hidden German fuel dump. When they discover that the fuel dump is heavily guarded, Kelly comes up with a new plan: to rob a bank in the nearby town of Clermont, which is believed to be holding millions of dollars in gold. Kelly and his squad hatch a daring plan to break into the bank and steal the gold.
