Synopsis – What to Expect from “It Came from Beneath the Sea”
It Came from Beneath the Sea is a 1955 science fiction monster movie directed by Robert Gordon and starring Kenneth Tobey, Faith Domergue and Donald Curtis.
The movie follows the story of a giant octopus that has been mutated by radiation and has grown to an enormous size. The octopus is attacking ships near San Francisco and the Navy is sent to investigate. Led by Commander Pete Mathews (Kenneth Tobey) and Professor Lesley Joyce (Faith Domergue), the team discovers the giant octopus and must figure out how to stop it.
The team soon learns that the octopus is impervious to conventional weapons, so they enlist the help of Professor John Carter (Donald Curtis) to develop a special weapon. With the help of Carter’s weapon, the team is able to drive the octopus away from San Francisco and back into the depths of the sea.
However, the octopus isn’t finished yet and it soon returns to wreak havoc on the city. With the help of the Navy, the team is able to finally destroy the giant octopus and save the city.
