Synopsis – What to Expect from “A Flintstones Christmas Carol”
A Flintstones Christmas Carol is a 1994 animated television film based on the classic Charles Dickens novel, A Christmas Carol.
The movie follows a familiar plot, but with a distinct Flintstones twist. Fred Flintstone is the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge, a gruff, penny-pinching dinosaur who has no time for Christmas cheer. His business partner, Barney Rubble, is the ghost of Christmas past, while his old boss, Mr. Slate, is the ghost of Christmas present.
The story begins on Christmas Eve, when Fred is visited by the ghost of his late friend, Fred’s Pebbles, who warns him of the consequences of his cold-hearted ways. Fred is then taken on a journey through time by the spirits of Christmas past, present, and future.
In the past, Fred is taken back to the days when he was young and carefree, and when he and Barney were best friends. He is reminded of the joy of Christmas and the importance of family.
In the present, Fred is taken to the home of his employee, Joe Rockhead, and sees the poverty and despair of his family. He is also taken to the home of his old boss, Mr. Slate, and sees the warmth and joy of his family.
Finally, in the future, Fred is taken to a world where Christmas has been forgotten and replaced by a day called “Greedmas.” Fred
