Synopsis/Plot
Body Snatchers is a 1993 sci-fi horror film directed by Abel Ferrara. It stars Gabrielle Anwar, Meg Tilly, Terry Kinney, and Forest Whitaker. The film follows a family who move to a military base in California, only to discover that the base is being taken over by alien pods that are turning people into emotionless replicas of themselves.
The film opens with a young girl, Marti (Anwar), and her father, Steve (Kinney), arriving at the base. They are greeted by the base commander, Colonel Peck (Whitaker), who informs them that the base is in the process of being taken over by the government. Marti soon discovers that the base is not what it seems, as strange things begin to happen. People start to act oddly and disappear.
Marti and her father soon discover that the base is being taken over by alien pods that are turning people into emotionless replicas of themselves. The pods are growing rapidly and infecting people at an alarming rate. Marti and her father team up with a sympathetic soldier, Tim (Tilly), to try and find a way to fight the pods and save the base.
