Synopsis – What to Expect from “Bad Lieutenant”
Bad Lieutenant is a 1992 crime drama film directed by Abel Ferrara and starring Harvey Keitel. It follows the story of a corrupt and drug-addicted police lieutenant, played by Keitel, who is assigned to investigate the rape of a nun.
The film begins with the Lieutenant, known only as “the Lieutenant”, being assigned to investigate the rape of a nun. He is a veteran police officer who is addicted to drugs and alcohol, and is known for his brutality and corruption. He is also in debt to a local crime boss, and is willing to do anything to pay off his debt.
The Lieutenant begins his investigation by questioning the nun and her fellow nuns, as well as the local priest. He also interviews the suspects, including a local drug dealer, a junkie, and a young man who was seen near the crime scene. He soon discovers that the rape was part of a larger conspiracy involving the local drug trade.
The Lieutenant begins to unravel the conspiracy, and soon finds himself in a dangerous situation when he is targeted by the criminals he is investigating. He must rely on his wits and his street smarts to stay alive and uncover the truth.
The Lieutenant eventually discovers the truth about the rape and the drug trade, and is able to bring the criminals to justice. However, his corruption and drug addiction have taken a toll on him, and he is forced to confront his own demons in order to come to terms with
