A Woman Under the Influence is a 1974 American drama film written and directed by John Cassavetes. It tells the story of a woman who struggles to keep her sanity in the face of her husband’s emotional detachment and the pressures of her demanding family.

The film stars Gena Rowlands as Mabel Longhetti, a middle-aged housewife whose life is slowly unraveling due to her husband’s emotional detachment and her family’s high expectations.
