Synopsis – What to Expect from “When in Rome”
When In Rome is a romantic comedy released in 2002. It follows the story of Beth Martin (Kristin Davis), a successful New York City lawyer who has just been promoted to partner in her firm. She is thrilled to begin her new job, but is quickly reminded of the fact that she is single and has no prospects for a relationship.
On a business trip to Rome, Beth is invited to a friend’s wedding. While there, she visits the famous Trevi Fountain and throws a coin in, wishing to find true love. Little does she know that her wish will be granted in the form of four men (Danny DeVito, Will Arnett, Dax Shepard, and Jon Heder) who each come to her in search of love.
Beth is overwhelmed by the attention and decides to bring all four men back to New York with her. As she tries to figure out which of them she truly loves, she discovers that the men have been cursed by the fountain and will remain in love with her until she chooses one of them.
Beth soon discovers that the only way to break the curse is to find the coin she threw in the fountain and return it. With the help of her friends and family, Beth embarks on a journey to find the coin and break the curse. Along the way, she learns more about herself and discovers who she really loves.
