Synopsis – What to Expect from “Billboard Dad”
Billboard Dad is a 1998 family comedy about two young girls, Emily and Tina, who are desperate for their single father to find love. When their father, Tom, refuses to date, the girls take matters into their own hands and construct a billboard with his photo and a message asking women to respond.
The billboard attracts attention from all over the city and soon Tom is getting letters and phone calls from interested women. As the girls begin to sort through the letters, they find one from a woman named Sarah. Emily and Tina are convinced that Sarah is the one for their dad and they set out to make it happen.
Tom is initially resistant to the idea of dating, but soon finds himself falling for Sarah. Despite their initial misgivings, the girls come to accept Sarah and the four form a new family unit.
However, things take a turn for the worse when Sarah’s ex-boyfriend, a shady businessman, re-enters the picture. He is determined to get Sarah back and will go to any lengths to do so. With the help of their friends and family, Emily and Tina must find a way to save their father’s new relationship and keep their family together.
In the end, the four are able to overcome the odds and find happiness together. Billboard Dad is a heartwarming story of family, friendship, and love.
