Synopsis – What to Expect from “6 Years”
6 Years is a 2015 American drama film written and directed by Hannah Fidell. It stars Taissa Farmiga and Ben Rosenfield as a young couple, Dan and Mel, whose six-year relationship is tested when Dan is offered a job in Austin, Texas, and Mel is unable to leave her family and follow him.
The movie begins with the introduction of Dan and Mel, a young couple in their mid-twenties. They are both college students in Austin, Texas and have been together for six years. Dan is a musician and Mel is an aspiring photographer. They have a strong bond and share a deep love for one another.
The couple’s relationship is put to the test when Dan is offered a job in Austin and Mel is unable to leave her family and follow him. Despite their love for one another, the two have to make a difficult decision about whether or not to stay together.
The movie follows the couple as they try to navigate the complexities of their relationship.
