Synopsis/Plot
The Spectacular Now is a 2013 romantic comedy-drama film directed by James Ponsoldt and written by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, based on the novel of the same name by Tim Tharp. The film stars Miles Teller as Sutter Keely, a carefree high school senior who lives in the present moment and Shailene Woodley as Aimee Finicky, a shy and studious classmate.
The film follows Sutter, a popular and charismatic high school senior, as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery when he meets Aimee, an introverted and hardworking classmate. Despite their differences, Sutter and Aimee develop an unexpected bond as they explore the complexities of growing up and falling in love for the first time.
