Synopsis/Plot
Charlie St. Cloud is a 2010 romantic drama film starring Zac Efron, Amanda Crew, and Kim Basinger. The film is based on the best-selling novel, The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, by Ben Sherwood.
The film tells the story of Charlie St. Cloud, a young man who has been given a second chance at life after a tragic accident. Charlie is a talented sailor and was accepted into Stanford University, but his dreams were cut short when a car accident killed his younger brother, Sam. Charlie survives the accident, but is left with a broken heart and guilt over his brother’s death.
Charlie is unable to move on with his life and instead chooses to spend his days at the cemetery where Sam is buried. He makes a promise to his brother that he will keep their special bond alive. Charlie begins to see his brother’s spirit and they spend time together playing catch and talking.
Charlie also meets a young woman named Tess who helps him to move on with his life and to find closure. She encourages him to pursue his dreams and to let go of his guilt. As their relationship grows, Charlie is forced to choose between keeping his promise to
