Synopsis/Plot
Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World is a 1998 American direct-to-video animated musical film and sequel to the 1995 Disney animated film Pocahontas. The sequel follows Pocahontas and her friends as they travel to England in order to prevent a war between her father’s kingdom and the English settlers.
The film begins with Pocahontas, her animal friends, and her love interest, John Smith, living in peace with the Powhatan tribe. However, when English settlers arrive in Jamestown, the King of England sends a diplomatic party to meet with Chief Powhatan and discuss a potential alliance. The Chief agrees to the alliance, but only if Pocahontas will travel to England to meet with the King.
Pocahontas and her friends set sail for England, but the voyage is filled with danger and adventure. Along the way, they encounter a fierce storm, a band of pirates, and a mysterious man who seems to have a connection to Pocahontas’ past.
