Synopsis – What to Expect from “Escape to Witch Mountain”
Escape to Witch Mountain is a 1975 Disney film about two orphaned children, Tony and Tia, who discover that they have supernatural powers. After being separated from their parents in a car accident, the two are taken in by a kindhearted millionaire, Jason O’Day.
When the children are threatened by a mysterious group of men, they flee with Jason and his housekeeper, Letha, to Witch Mountain, an isolated peak in the Pacific Northwest. Upon arriving, they discover that Tony and Tia are actually aliens from a distant planet who have been sent to Earth to find a mysterious power source that is hidden somewhere on Witch Mountain.
As the group searches for the power source, they are pursued by the mysterious men, who are determined to capture the children and use the power source for their own nefarious purposes. Along the way, they must also contend with a host of supernatural creatures, including a giant spider, a giant bat, a giant snake, and a powerful witch.
With the help of a friendly hermit, the group is able to locate the power source and use it to escape the men and the creatures. In the end, they are able to return to the safety of Jason’s mansion, with the power source in tow.
