Synopsis/Plot
Holes is a 2003 American adventure comedy-drama film directed by Andrew Davis. It stars Shia LaBeouf, Sigourney Weaver, Jon Voight, Patricia Arquette, Tim Blake Nelson, and Henry Winkler.
The film follows Stanley Yelnats IV, a teenage boy who is wrongfully convicted of stealing a pair of shoes from a charity auction and sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile detention center in the middle of a desert. At Camp Green Lake, Stanley and the other inmates are required to dig large holes in the desert every day in the hopes of finding a legendary treasure. As the boys dig, Stanley begins to discover the secrets behind the camp and its mysterious warden.
Through his journey, Stanley learns about friendship, courage, and the power of perseverance. He also discovers the true story behind Camp Green Lake and the curse that has been placed upon the Yelnats family for generations.
