Synopsis – What to Expect from “Troll 2”
Troll 2 is a 1990 horror-comedy about a family who goes on vacation to a small, rural town called Nilbog. The family, the Waits, consists of Michael, his wife Diana, their daughter Holly, and her younger brother Joshua.
When they arrive in Nilbog, they are welcomed by the friendly locals, who invite them to a big party to celebrate their arrival. Little do they know, the locals are actually goblins in disguise, and they plan to use the party as an opportunity to turn the Waits into plants.
Meanwhile, Joshua has a dream in which a mysterious man named Creedence warns him of the goblins’ evil plan. With Creedence’s help, Joshua attempts to warn the rest of his family, but they don’t believe him.
At the party, the goblins reveal their true forms and begin to cast spells on the Waits. Joshua and his grandfather, who had followed the family to Nilbog, manage to escape, but the rest of the Waits are turned into plants.
Joshua and his grandfather enlist the help of a local witch, who helps them break the goblins’ spell and restore the Waits to their human forms. With the help of the witch, Joshua and his grandfather take on the goblins in a final battle, ultimately defeating them and saving the Waits.
