Synopsis – What to Expect from “Still Waiting…”
Still Waiting… is a romantic comedy released in 2009. The movie follows the story of a group of waiters and waitresses who work at a popular chain restaurant called Shenanigan’s. The restaurant is in the middle of a competition to see which location can make the most money in one day.
The main characters are Monty, a waiter who is trying to save up enough money to open his own restaurant, and Lisa, a waitress who is struggling to make ends meet. Monty and Lisa have an instant connection and begin to fall in love.
The other characters include the restaurant manager, a washed-up rock star, a snobby food critic, and a couple of slacker cooks. As the competition heats up, the characters must find ways to make more money and keep their customers happy.
The restaurant manager and the rock star come up with a plan to make the most money in one day: they will organize a celebrity charity event and invite all the famous people in town. The plan works, and the restaurant makes a killing.
However, things start to go wrong. The food critic writes a scathing review of the restaurant, and the celebrity charity event turns out to be a scam. Monty and Lisa must figure out a way to save the restaurant and their relationship.
