Synopsis/Plot
Santa Claus: The Movie is a 1985 fantasy-comedy film directed by Jeannot Szwarc and starring Dudley Moore, John Lithgow, and David Huddleston. The movie follows the story of Santa Claus (David Huddleston) and his adventures in the modern world.
The movie begins with a mysterious stranger, Patch (Dudley Moore), arriving in a small town in the North Pole. He soon meets an elf named B.Z. (John Lithgow), who reveals that he is the son of Santa Claus. Patch is taken to the North Pole, where he meets Santa and is told that he is to be the new Santa Claus.
Patch soon discovers that Santa’s reindeer have been captured by a greedy toy manufacturer, B.Z. (John Lithgow), who plans to use them to make toys. Patch and Santa team up to save the reindeer and restore Christmas spirit to the world. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including a mysterious old man (John Randolph) and a magical snowman (Jeffrey Kramer).
