Synopsis – What to Expect from “Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge”
Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge is a 1991 horror film directed by David DeCoteau. The film is a sequel to the previous two Puppet Master films, and takes place in 1941 during World War II.
The film opens with a brief prologue set in 1939, showing a Nazi officer, Major Kraus, interrogating an elderly puppeteer, Andre Toulon, about his mysterious puppet-making abilities. Toulon refuses to reveal his secrets, and is shot dead by the Nazis.
The main story begins two years later in 1941, with a group of American soldiers, led by Lt. Eric Stein, arriving in Paris to investigate the disappearance of Toulon. They meet with a mysterious woman named Ilsa, who tells them that Toulon had been taken by the Nazis to a secret lab in East Berlin.
The soldiers travel to East Berlin, where they discover that Toulon had been experimenting with a serum that could bring his puppets to life. The Nazis had been using the puppets to spy on the Allies. The soldiers manage to rescue Toulon, but he is fatally wounded in the process.
Before he dies, Toulon reveals to the soldiers that he has hidden the formula for the serum in a music box. The Nazis are determined to get their hands on the formula, and they send a team of assassins to hunt down the soldiers.
