Synopsis/Plot
Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey is a gripping true-crime drama based on the real-life abduction of seventeen-year-old Lisa McVey in 1984. After being kidnapped and held captive for 26 hours, Lisa managed to escape her captor, leading to his eventual arrest.
The film follows the story of Lisa’s abduction and her fight for survival. After being taken by her captor, Lisa is subjected to physical and psychological abuse while being held in a small room in an abandoned house. As her captor becomes increasingly desperate and violent, Lisa must use her wits and courage to outsmart him and escape.
