Synopsis/Plot
Christopher Robin is a 2018 fantasy comedy-drama film directed by Marc Forster and written by Alex Ross Perry, Tom McCarthy, and Allison Schroeder. The film is based on the characters created by A. A. Milne and E. H. Shepard and stars Ewan McGregor as the title character, along with Hayley Atwell, Bronte Carmichael, Mark Gatiss, and Jim Cummings as the voice of Winnie-the-Pooh.
The film follows Christopher Robin, an adult who has lost his childhood sense of imagination and joy, as he is reunited with his old stuffed animal friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. With their help, he rediscovers the joys of life and learns to appreciate the small moments of life.
The film opens with a flashback to Christopher Robin’s childhood, when he and his stuffed animal friends, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, and Owl, had many adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood. In the present day, Christopher Robin is a businessman who has grown distant from his family and his old friends. He is so busy with work that he forgets to attend his daughter’s birthday
