Synopsis – What to Expect from “Saints and Soldiers”
Saints and Soldiers is a war drama set during World War II. The film follows a group of American soldiers in the European Theater as they attempt to complete a dangerous mission to rescue a group of Allied soldiers behind enemy lines.
The film opens with a group of American soldiers, led by Captain Robert Lee (Corbin Allred) and Sergeant David Harker (Kirby Heyborne), being dropped behind enemy lines in Nazi-occupied France. They are tasked with finding and rescuing a group of Allied soldiers, who were taken prisoner by the Germans and are being held in a nearby village.
The American soldiers soon discover that the village is heavily guarded by German forces, and they must find a way to sneak in and rescue the prisoners without being detected. Along the way, they encounter a French resistance group who help them in their mission.
The soldiers soon find themselves in a battle for their lives, as they fight to complete their mission and save the Allied soldiers. In the process, they must overcome their differences and work together to survive.
The film culminates in a dramatic and emotional climax as the American soldiers complete their mission and return home to a hero’s welcome. In the end, the soldiers’ courage and bravery is recognized and celebrated.
