Synopsis/Plot
Dead Space: Aftermath is a 2011 animated science fiction horror film that serves as a sequel to the 2008 video game Dead Space. The film follows the story of four survivors of a deep-space mining mission gone awry, who find themselves stranded on an abandoned planetoid and must battle against an alien threat.
The movie begins with a brief introduction to the events of the game, as the mining ship USG Ishimura is destroyed by an alien artifact known as the Marker. The four survivors, who were part of the Ishimura’s crew, have managed to escape in an escape pod. After crash-landing on an unknown planetoid, they soon discover that they are not alone.
The survivors soon find themselves in a desperate struggle for survival against a mysterious alien race known as the Necromorphs. These aliens have a strange connection to the Marker, and are determined to find and control it. The survivors must battle their way through hordes of Necromorphs, while also trying to find a way off the planetoid. As they struggle to survive, they must also uncover the truth behind the Marker and its connection to the Necromorphs.
