Synopsis – What to Expect from “Just Visiting”

Just Visiting is a 2001 American fantasy comedy film starring Jean Reno, Christina Applegate, and Matthew Ross. The film follows the story of a 12th-century French nobleman, Count Thibault of Malfete, and his servant André. After a failed attempt to save Thibault’s fiancée, the two are magically transported to modern-day Chicago, where they must find a way to return to the past.

The film opens in 12th-century France, where Thibault is about to marry his beloved Rosalind. But before the wedding can take place, a mysterious wizard sends Thibault and André to modern-day Chicago. Once there, they are taken in by Thibault’s distant relative, Julia Malfete, who is a single mother and works as a tour guide at a local museum.

Thibault and André must now find a way to return to the past, but they quickly realize that their medieval ways are no match for the modern world. They soon find themselves in a series of misadventures, including a run-in with a gang of car thieves, a visit to a nightclub, and a trip to a theme park. Along the way, Thibault and André also learn the value of friendship and family, as well as the importance of cherishing the present moment.

Eventually, Thibault and André find a way to return to the past, but not before they have made a lasting impression
