Synopsis – What to Expect from “Five Children and It”
Five Children and It is a 2004 fantasy-adventure film based on the novel by E. Nesbit. It follows the story of five siblings who discover a magical sand-fairy called “It” who grants them one wish a day.
The story begins with the five siblings, Robert, Anthea, Cyril, Jane, and the baby Lamb, who are sent to stay with their Aunt Emma in the countryside. They soon discover a magical creature called “It” living in a sandpit near the house. It is a Psammead, an ancient sand-fairy who can grant them one wish a day.
The children quickly learn that wishes don’t always turn out the way they expect. When they wish for money, they get a bag of gold coins that turn out to be worthless. When they wish for wings, they turn into birds that can’t land. Despite their misfortunes, the children continue to make wishes and find themselves in all sorts of trouble.
The children’s adventures take them to a magical underground world, where they must battle a giant spider and find the lost treasure of King Solomon. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about friendship, family, and the importance of being careful what you wish for.
In the end, the children must face their greatest challenge yet: to find a way to keep It and their wishes from disappearing forever. With the help of their newfound friends, the children
