Synopsis/Plot
The Amazing Maurice is a 2020 animated musical fantasy film based on the novel of the same name by Terry Pratchett. It tells the story of a streetwise cat named Maurice, who leads a group of intelligent rats in a con involving a magical flute. The rats have developed the ability to talk, and they use their new skills to fool the townsfolk into believing that the flute is cursed and can only be removed by paying a hefty fee.
Maurice and the rats soon come across a young girl named Malicia, who is determined to uncover the truth behind the con. With her help, Maurice and the rats uncover a sinister plot involving the town’s mayor, who is using the flute to control the townThe mayor’s plan is to use the flute to manipulate the townspeople into doing his bidding and take over the town. Maurice and the rats must now work together to stop the mayor and free the town from his control. With Malicia’s help, they devise a plan to use the flute’s power against the mayor and save the town. With courage and wit, Maurice and the rats are able to outsmart the mayor and restore peace and harmony to the town.
