Synopsis – What to Expect from “Salsa”
Salsa is a 1988 movie starring Robby Rosa, Miranda Garrison, and Cynthia Rhodes. The film follows the story of a young dancer, Rico (Robby Rosa), who is determined to become a professional salsa dancer.
Rico is a Puerto Rican street dancer who dreams of becoming a professional salsa dancer. He meets and falls in love with a beautiful salsa dancer, Lola (Miranda Garrison). When Rico’s family disapproves of their relationship, he is determined to prove them wrong and make his dream come true.
Rico and Lola take salsa classes together and quickly become the best dancers in the class. They also join a local salsa club and soon become the stars of the club. However, when Rico’s family discovers his relationship with Lola, they forbid him to see her.
Rico and Lola are determined to make it to the top and prove to Rico’s family that their love is real. They enter a salsa competition and win first place. After their victory, Rico’s family finally accepts their relationship.
The movie ends with Rico and Lola dancing happily together in the salsa club and fulfilling their dreams of becoming professional salsa dancers.
