Synopsis/Plot

Zoolander 2 is a 2016 American action comedy film directed by Ben Stiller and written by John Hamburg, Justin Theroux, Stiller, and Nicholas Stoller. It is the sequel to the 2001 film Zoolander, and stars Stiller, Owen Wilson, Penélope Cruz, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, and Fred Armisen. The plot follows the dimwitted male model Derek Zoolander (Stiller) and his friend Hansel McDonald (Wilson) as they are recruited by Interpol to help stop a criminal mastermind from killing the world’s most beautiful people.

Derek and Hansel have been out of the modeling business for years, and now live in self-imposed exile. When an opposing company threatens to take over the world’s fashion industry, they must come out of retirement to save the day. With the help of Interpol agent Valentina Valencia (Cruz) and a mysterious fashion mogul (Ferrell), Derek and Hansel embark on a wild and hilarious mission to save the world’s most beautiful people from certain doom.
