Synopsis/Plot
Young Guns is a 1988 western film directed by Christopher Cain and starring Emilio Estevez, Kiefer Sutherland, Lou Diamond Phillips, Charlie Sheen, Dermot Mulroney, and Terry O’Quinn. The film follows the story of Billy the Kid and his gang of Regulators as they attempt to evade the law in the New Mexico Territory in the late 1800s.
The film begins with the gang of outlaws, led by Billy the Kid (Estevez) and his friend, Chavez (Phillips), robbing a stagecoach. They are soon tracked down by a posse led by Sheriff Pat Garrett (O’Quinn). After a gunfight, the gang escapes and flees to the town of Lincoln, where they are welcomed by local rancher John Tunstall (Terence Stamp). Tunstall offers them work on his ranch, and Billy and Chavez soon become close friends with the other members of the gang, including Doc Scurlock (Sutherland), Dick Brewer (Sheen), and Jose Chavez y Chavez (Mulroney).
