Synopsis/Plot
Wyatt Earp is a 1994 American biographical western film directed by Lawrence Kasdan and written by Kasdan and Dan Gordon. It stars Kevin Costner in the title role as a well-known lawman and gunfighter of the American Old West. The film also stars Dennis Quaid, Gene Hackman, Michael Madsen, Bill Pullman, Isabella Rossellini, Tom Sizemore, Joanna Going, and Mare Winningham.
The film follows the life of Wyatt Earp, from his childhood in Missouri to his eventual involvement in the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona. It focuses on his relationships with his brothers, Virgil and Morgan, and his friend Doc Holliday. As a young man, Wyatt works as a buffalo hunter, gambler, and saloon-keeper before becoming a deputy town marshal in Dodge City, Kansas. His growing reputation as a lawman leads him to the boomtown of Tombstone, Arizona, where he becomes embroiled in a feud with the Clanton-McLaury gang.
