Synopsis – What to Expect from “Wolves”
Wolves is a 2014 American coming-of-age drama film directed by Bart Freundlich and starring Michael Shannon, Carla Gugino, and Chris Bauer.
The story follows Cayden Richards (Shannon), a young man who is struggling to deal with the recent death of his parents. He is living with his wealthy uncle (Bauer) in a small town in upstate New York. Cayden is struggling to fit in and is having difficulty dealing with his grief.
One night, Cayden is out with his friends when he has a strange encounter with a beautiful girl (Gugino). She tells him that he is part of a pack of werewolves and that he must embrace his true nature. Cayden is hesitant, but eventually decides to follow her and explore the mysterious world of the werewolves.
Cayden soon discovers that the pack is in danger from an evil force that is threatening to take over their territory. He must learn to control his powers and fight for the survival of the pack. Along the way, Cayden forms an unlikely bond with the girl and discovers the power of love and friendship.
As Cayden struggles to come to terms with his new identity, he must also confront his inner demons and learn to accept himself and his new life. In the end, he must choose between his human life and his werewolf life. Will he make the right decision?
