Synopsis – What to Expect from “Wolf Creek”
Wolf Creek is a 2005 Australian psychological horror film written, co-produced, and directed by Greg McLean.
The movie follows three backpackers, Liz Hunter (Cassandra Magrath), Kristy Earl (Kestie Morassi), and Ben Mitchell (Nathan Phillips), as they travel through the Australian Outback. The trio, hoping to explore the Wolf Creek National Park, stop at a seemingly abandoned roadhouse. After being warned by a strange local, Mick Taylor (John Jarratt), they decide to camp out in the park.
The next morning, the three wake up to find their car won’t start. Mick shows up and offers to help them out. After fixing the car, he invites them to his place for some food and drinks. While there, Mick reveals himself to be a sadistic serial killer, and he takes them hostage.
Mick begins to torture and kill the three one by one. Liz is the first to be killed, followed by Kristy. Ben manages to escape and hides in the Outback, trying to survive and find help. He eventually meets up with a local Aboriginal tracker, who helps him track down Mick.
Ben and the tracker eventually find Mick’s hideout and rescue the remaining hostages. In a final confrontation, Ben kills Mick, ending his reign of terror.
The film ends with Ben and the tracker walking away from Mick’s hideout, leaving the surviving hostages behind. Wolf
