Synopsis/Plot
Wit is a 2001 drama film directed by Mike Nichols and starring Emma Thompson. The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play of the same name by Margaret Edson.
The film follows Vivian Bearing (Emma Thompson), a brilliant professor of English literature who is diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. Despite her best efforts to remain stoic in the face of her diagnosis, Vivian’s life is irrevocably changed as she undergoes a grueling course of chemotherapy.
