Synopsis/Plot
Wind River is a 2017 American crime thriller film written and directed by Taylor Sheridan. The film stars Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen as a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service tracker and an FBI agent, respectively, who try to solve a murder on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming.
The film opens on the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, where a young woman is found dead in the snow. The local game warden, Cory Lambert (Jeremy Renner), discovers her body and alerts the authorities. He is joined by Jane Banner (Elizabeth Olsen), an FBI agent sent to investigate the murder.
Cory and Jane soon discover that the victim was a young Native American woman who had been brutally raped and murdered. With the help of the local tribal police, they begin to piece together the clues that will lead them to the killer. As the investigation continues, they uncover a dark and sinister history of violence and abuse that has been hidden for years.
