Synopsis – What to Expect from “Willard”
Willard is a 2003 horror-thriller movie directed by Glen Morgan and starring Crispin Glover, R. Lee Ermey, and Laura Elena Harring.
The movie follows the story of Willard Stiles (Crispin Glover), a socially awkward and introverted young man who is constantly bullied and abused by his cruel and domineering father, Franklin Stiles (R. Lee Ermey). Willard finds solace in his only friends, a group of rats he has taken in and trained. When Franklin discovers Willard’s fascination with the rats, he orders him to get rid of them.
However, the rats have become Willard’s only friends and he refuses to do so. In retaliation, Franklin begins to mistreat Willard even more, pushing him to the brink of madness. In order to take revenge on his father, Willard trains the rats to do his bidding and they begin to wreak havoc on the Stiles household.
Things take a turn for the worse when Willard discovers that the rats can not only be trained to cause destruction, but also to kill. With the help of his rat army, Willard sets out on a mission to get revenge on his father and anyone else who has wronged him.
