Synopsis – What to Expect from “Willard”
Willard is a 1971 horror film directed by Daniel Mann and starring Bruce Davison, Elsa Lanchester, and Ernest Borgnine. The film follows the story of Willard Stiles, a young man living with his domineering and controlling mother in a decaying mansion.
Willard is a social outcast, bullied and ignored by his peers. He finds solace in his pet rats, which he has trained to do his bidding. When his mother passes away, Willard’s life takes a turn for the worse. He is forced to take a job at his father’s old company, where he is met with further ridicule.
Desperate to escape his situation, Willard begins to use his rats to exact revenge on those who have wronged him. He begins to gain control of the rats, using them to torment and kill his enemies. Willard’s reign of terror quickly escalates, and soon the entire town is under his control.
Willard’s power and influence eventually attract the attention of a powerful businessman, who offers Willard a chance to join him in a business venture. Willard agrees, and soon he is living a life of luxury. But his newfound wealth comes at a price, as the businessman soon reveals his true intentions: to use Willard’s rats to take over the world.
Willard must now choose between his own ambitions and his loyalty to his rats. Will he succumb to the businessman’s demands, or will he
