Synopsis – What to Expect from “Wieners”
Wieners is a comedy film released in 2008 which follows three friends, Dwayne, Brett, and Kyle, who are all outcasts in their small town. With the help of a mysterious benefactor, they set out on an epic road trip to California in a beat-up Wienermobile. Along the way, they meet a variety of colorful characters and experience a range of misadventures.
The trio’s journey begins when Dwayne, a shy, overweight teen, discovers a mysterious package containing a map. After showing the map to his two best friends, they decide to take a road trip to California in a Wienermobile they find in a junkyard. The trio is joined by a fourth friend, a girl named Allison, who is determined to prove that she can be just as adventurous as the boys.
As they travel, they encounter a variety of strange characters, including a hitchhiker who claims to be a psychic, a pair of bikers looking for a fight, and a mysterious man in a black suit. Along the way, they also experience a range of misadventures, such as being chased by a pack of wild dogs and getting stuck in a mudslide.
The group eventually makes it to California, where they find out that the mysterious benefactor who gave them the map is actually a famous Hollywood director who wants to cast them in his new movie. They agree to do the movie and become overnight celebrities.
