The movie follows Harry Crumb, a bumbling private detective who is hired by the wealthy and powerful Buchanan family to investigate the kidnapping of their teenage daughter, Elizabeth. Harry is the least qualified private investigator the Buchanans could find, but they are desperate and willing to take a chance on him.
Harry is teamed up with his brother, Jake, who is a more experienced private investigator. The two of them travel to the Buchanan estate and immediately get to work on the case.
Harry and Jake soon discover that Elizabeth has been kidnapped by a mysterious criminal organization known as the “Black Widows”. With the help of Jake’s contacts, they track down the kidnappers and rescue Elizabeth.
However, the kidnappers are not the only ones after Elizabeth. The Buchanans are also being threatened by a powerful business rival, who is determined to get his hands on their company. In order to protect Elizabeth and the Buchanans, Harry and Jake must find a way to outsmart the rival and put an end to his schemes.
