Synopsis/Plot
White Boy Rick is a 2018 crime drama film directed by Yann Demange and written by Andy Weiss, Logan Miller and Noah Miller. The film stars Richie Merritt, Matthew McConaughey, Bel Powley, Bruce Dern, Piper Laurie, Brian Tyree Henry, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Rory Cochrane.
The film follows the story of Richard Wershe Jr. (Merritt), a teenage drug dealer from the 1980s in Detroit who was abandoned by his family and used by the FBI as an informant. After becoming involved in the city’s drug trade, he is eventually arrested and sentenced to life in prison.
