Synopsis – What to Expect from “White Bird in a Blizzard”
White Bird in a Blizzard is a 2014 drama film directed by Gregg Araki and starring Shailene Woodley, Christopher Meloni, Eva Green, and Shiloh Fernandez. The film follows the story of 17-year-old Kat Connor (Shailene Woodley) who is struggling to cope with the sudden disappearance of her mother (Eva Green) during a turbulent time in her life.
The film begins with Kat’s mother, Eve, suddenly disappearing without a trace. Kat is left to fend for herself in the wake of her mother’s disappearance, and is left feeling confused and abandoned. She begins to question her own identity and purpose in life, and begins to rebel against her father (Christopher Meloni).
At school, Kat meets Phil (Shiloh Fernandez), a mysterious and attractive older student, and they begin a relationship. As Kat struggles to cope with her mother’s absence, she begins to uncover secrets about her mother’s past. She discovers that her mother had an affair with a mysterious man, and begins to suspect that her mother may have been murdered.
Kat’s father is also struggling to cope with his wife’s disappearance, and begins to rely on alcohol to cope. He begins to neglect his daughter, making her feel even more isolated and alone.
Kat’s search for the truth leads her to a shocking revelation that changes her life forever. She discovers that her mother was not the person she thought she was
