Where to watch squid game except on Netflix? If it’s a question on your mind, you are not alone. FIind out authentic answer.
When Squid Game premiered on Netflix back while we were recovering from a pandemic, nobody could have told you that it was going to take over the world, just like the pandemic.
Released initially on the 17th of September in 2021, Squid Game quickly took audiences on Netflix by storm with its unique and compelling plot, great character writing and desperation unlike ever seen before.
What Is The Squid Game About?
The story is centered around a divorced father and his quest to get himself out of serious debt. In the backdrop and soon after on the center stage, we see him getting kidnapped after accepting the offer to play a game for a huge sum of money.
Well, what do you know, shady game, shady people, consequences.
It turns out to be an elimination-based set of activities where people who get eliminated, get eliminated forever. There are enforcers all around and the lead character must find a way to win despite not knowing who to trust in all this mess.
Alongside Seong Gi-hun, the aforementioned main character, there is the fantastic supporting cast of characters from various parts of the fictional world we are in.
We have the convict-on-the-run Park Hae-soo, Hwang Jun-ho, a desperate police officer looking for his family and Ali Abdul, a migrant who must provide for his family and needs to do so fast.
If carefully observed, the difference between the writing of Squid Game and other such thriller shows is that the unique situations each character is in make it as necessary for them to win the game as survival would be. And the final plot twist is fantastic; only winning the game will grant you survival, nothing else.
Hence, this symbiotic relationship that develops between the players throughout the course of the game not only raises the tension and the emotion, but also helps us understand a little bit better as our main character is interacting with them.
It also helps us understand the motivations of the set of antagonists here, which is simply twisted research and nothing else.
Squid Game Season 2 | FIRST LOOK TRAILER | Netflix
With the thrill keeping you on the edge of the seat and emotion that will bring you to your knees, it is no surprise that Squid Game became as massive as it is today, propelling its cast into international stardom.
And this makes for an interesting assessment of the human condition too. Squid Game represents a disparity in society between the rich and poor, which is further highlighted by greed and a need for survival, and humans being treated like insects to be experimented upon.
A household name now, the series has also sprouted a whole army of memes, video games, conspiracy theories about actual such games being conducted in underground facilities and more. Whether those are true or not, we don’t know, but the memes sure are funny?

How Can I Watch Squid Game Expect On Netflix?
Squid Game is a Netflix original show. Hence, sadly there is no way to watch in the area of legitimacy, at least. It is exclusive to Netflix and is only watchable on their specific platform.
But if you do want to watch Squid Game without Netflix but don’t want to pay for a subscription, piracy is the only option.
However, we do not recommend piracy as it can lead to several security risks for your data and legal consequences for copyright infringement. Netflix owns the copyright for Squid Game and hence you could get in legal trouble for pirating content.
Despite the unavailability of Squid Game on Netflix, here are a few other shows we hope you will enjoy which are similar in tone and the thrill they provide.
