Synopsis – What to Expect from “Wendigo”
Wendigo is a horror movie released in 2001. It tells the story of a family who take a vacation to the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York.
The family consists of George (Jake Weber), his wife Kim (Patricia Clarkson), their son Miles (Erik Per Sullivan) and their daughter Holly (Chloe Sanchez).
At first, the family is enjoying their vacation, but soon strange things begin to happen. Miles begins to have nightmares about a mysterious creature called the Wendigo. He also finds strange symbols carved into trees and begins to feel an eerie presence in the woods.
Meanwhile, George and Kim are having problems in their marriage. Kim is struggling with her own personal issues, and George is trying to make things work.
One day, the family goes on a hike and get lost in the woods. They eventually stumble across an old cabin, where they find a strange old man living there. He tells them that the Wendigo is an evil spirit that lives in the woods and feeds on human flesh. He warns them to stay away from the creature, but they don’t listen.
Soon after, the family starts to experience strange occurrences. Miles is having visions of the Wendigo and George finds himself in bizarre situations. The family soon realizes that the Wendigo is real and is hunting them. In order to survive, they must fight back against the evil spirit and find a way to escape the woods.
