Synopsis – What to Expect from “Wedlock”
Wedlock is a 1991 action-thriller film starring Rutger Hauer and Mimi Rogers.
The movie opens with a violent prison escape. After escaping, the two convicts, Earl (Hauer) and Red (Rogers), steal a car and head out on the run. They soon find themselves in a small town, where Earl is determined to find his estranged wife, who he believes is living there.
When they arrive, they discover that Earl’s wife, Linda (Joan Chen), is now married to a wealthy and powerful man, Frank (Dennis Hopper). Earl is determined to win back his wife, and he and Red hatch a plan to kidnap Linda and hold her for ransom.
Frank, however, is not willing to negotiate. He hires a team of bounty hunters, led by the ruthless and sadistic Rafe (Billy Drago), to track down Earl and Red. Rafe and his team are relentless in their pursuit, and soon Earl and Red are on the run for their lives.
As they try to evade Rafe and his team, Earl and Red become closer and eventually fall in love. But their newfound romance is threatened when Linda is kidnapped and taken to a remote cabin. In a desperate attempt to rescue Linda, Earl and Red must face off against Rafe and his team in a violent showdown.
