Synopsis/Plot
We Are Your Friends is a 2015 drama film directed by Max Joseph and starring Zac Efron, Emily Ratajkowski, Wes Bentley, and Jonny Weston. The film follows Cole Carter (Efron), an aspiring DJ who dreams of making it big in the Los Angeles electronic music scene. With the help of his mentor, James (Bentley), Cole attempts to find success and make a name for himself. Along the way, he falls for his friend Sophie (Ratajkowski), complicating his relationship with his best friend, Mason (Weston).
The film follows Cole’s journey as he navigates the world of L.A. nightlife and the music industry, learning the ropes of DJing and trying to make it big. Along the way, he discovers the importance of friendship and loyalty, and learns that sometimes taking risks is necessary to achieve success. With the help of his friends, Cole is able to overcome the obstacles in his path and make his dream of becoming a successful DJ a reality. We Are Your Friends is a coming-of-age story that celebrates the power of friendship and the importance of taking risks in order to achieve success.
