Synopsis/Plot
Wayne’s World is a 1992 American comedy film directed by Penelope Spheeris and starring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as hosts of a public access television show in Aurora, Illinois. The film follows the two friends, Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, as they broadcast their television show, and try to organize a rock concert while dealing with the pressures of life and love.
The film begins with Wayne and Garth hosting their public access television show, Wayne’s World, from Wayne’s parents’ basement. They discuss various topics, including the local rock scene, and their plans for the future. They soon meet Cassandra Wong, a singer and bassist in a local band, and Wayne immediately falls for her. Meanwhile, a sleazy television executive, Benjamin Oliver, approaches the two and offers to produce their show for broadcast on his network. Wayne and Garth agree, but soon find themselves overwhelmed by the pressures of producing a network show.
In order to save their show, Wayne and Garth organize a rock concert, “Waynestock”, and enlist the help of their friends. The concert is a success, but Wayne and Garth soon discover that Oliver has been manipulating them to gain
