Synopsis – What to Expect from “Way Out West”
Way Out West is a classic Western comedy starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. The two are hired by a beautiful damsel in distress, Mary Roberts, to deliver a deed to a gold mine to her uncle, Jim Mason.
Unbeknownst to Stan and Ollie, Mary’s uncle is actually a notorious outlaw who has deceived her into believing he is an honest man. When they arrive in the small town of Brushwood Gulch, they are greeted by a group of thugs led by the sinister Lonesome Polecat.
Stan and Ollie soon discover that Polecat is in cahoots with Mason, who is plotting to steal the deed from Mary. The two must find a way to outwit the villains and save Mary’s inheritance.
In the end, Stan and Ollie manage to outsmart Polecat and his gang and protect Mary’s gold mine. With the help of a few locals, they also manage to expose Mason’s true identity. After a few close calls and a few laughs, the two heroes are able to save the day, and Mary’s gold mine is safe.
