What if we try to stream the movie in the US?
We used the Netflix link for the movie and got an Error code NSES-404. This means, unlike other movies in your Netflix library, streaming Your Name is restricted in your area.
Whenever you send a request to stream Your Name on your device, Netflix servers can trace your location and decide whether to service your response. In this case, as we were streaming from the US, we were denied access to the movie.
However, there is a way to bypass Netflix’s geo-restriction.
How To Watch Your Name On Netflix
Please follow these steps to watch “Your Name” on Netflix, irrespective of location.
Step 1. Opt for a VPN

Step 2: Delete Netflix Cache
Clearing the Netflix cache is a precautionary step to make sure the app doesn’t latch on to your location when you start streaming using a VPN.
On Android
- Open Settings, scroll to the Storage section, and select Netflix from the App section.
- Click Clear cache
On iOS
- Open Settings, jump to the General section, and click Internal Storage
- Select Netflix and click Offload App
Browser Cookie/ Cache
- If you are using Chrome, click on the three dots in the top right corner of the browser, and from the dropdown, click on settings.
- Click on the Privacy and Security section. Click Clear Browsing Data to delete browsing History, cookies, and cache.
- Restart Chrome and log in to Netflix.
Step 3: Select Compatible VPN Servers
Once you have cleared the Netflix cache, turn on your VPN and select UK or Australia servers. You will get a list of servers from the selected country.
Select the fastest server from the list and connect to it.
When you connect to a VPN that works with Netflix, your stream request will come from the VPN server you are connected to. This way, you can watch Your Name in the US.
